All interested parties meet at the Canyon Point parking lot at 9:30a.

Scott will again be leading a hike at Castlewood Canyon.

It is a moderate 2.5 mile hike to the Castlewood Canyon Dam and back. Along the way we'll learn about the geology, wild flowers, ecosystems, and history, and talk about the Dawson aquifer which supplies most of Douglas County’s drinking water.

Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray. Bring a lunch. We can eat in the pavilion area after the hike. The entrance to Castlewood Canyon State Park is located south of Franktown on Highway 83. A park pass or $10 entrance fee is required. You may arrange car pooling on your own, if you so desire.
