Youth ministry at Joy Lutheran Church is about building relationships, with each other and with God. "Kids are not looking for someone to be like them, but someone to be like" is a quote that resonates with youth ministry.

There are a variety of opportunities for our youth, grades 6 - 12. Confirmation, camp, mission trips, forums on Sundays and, of course, FUN!

Invest in Youth
Calling All Investors!
Looking for the next great investment opportunity? Look no further than the JOY youth! We are searching for loving and devoted people who want to invest in the faith and spiritual growth of our young people.
Visit the Joy Youth Group stock sale table in the fellowship hall Sundays throughout Lent (March 6th – April 10th). You’ll have the opportunity to purchase “stock” through a free-will donation to help support the youth trip to Minnesota this summer. All investors will receive an official certificate, as well as an invitation to a shareholders’ dinner in the fall after the youth return from the trip. But wait, there’s more! If you cover the cost of a seat on our bus ($350), you’ll also receive your own tee shirt designed for the trip and that the youth will wear in Minnesota. Thank you for your continued support of the youth at JOY!

Confirmation
Confirmation is a three year ministry for 6th - 8th grade students designed to help give them guidance and direction as they prepare to affirm their baptism.  We firmly believe that our youth – when actively involved with worship, learning, mentoring, and group fellowship activities – will deepen their spiritual journey as they learn more about what it means to follow Jesus Christ.
