Whether it's making stuffed animals for children in crisis, helping a committee with a project you can do at home, or joining a group or ministry, there are many ways to serve at Joy.
Check back often to learn about the different needs and ministries where you can share your talents.
Spread some joy by ensuring everyone receives a warm welcome to JLC. We have a ministry opportunity for an individual to coordinate our greeter volunteers.
Ministry involves:
-Scheduling greeters for worship. Assignments are made three times a year and include weekend and seasonal services.
-Communicating with new greeters regarding their duties, and with continuing greeters to share updates or changes.
This is a wonderful way to serve Joy Lutheran and meet our community. If you have questions or interest please contact the church office.
Joy Lutheran's sewing group is embarking on a new adventure. We have undertaken the sewing of 500 armchair/remote holder bags. These will be distributed through Nourish Meals on Wheels, at Arapahoe and Broadway. We also continually sew on the next year's high school quilts. Kits of our projects are available to take home. Contact the church office if you want to participate.
No really - it is. So is video projection and live streaming. The AV Team is looking to share the excitement of working sound, slides, and the live stream with new recruits. No experience necessary - we will train. Middle and high schoolers as well as adults who like to push buttons (especially the Pastors') are encouraged to contact the office to learn more about training and volunteering with this electrifying ministry.
The Joy Memorial Garden, located by the flag poles in the parking lot, was started as an Eagle Scout project by Jacob H. Because Jacob and his family have moved away the Joy Military Ministry has adopted the task of making bricks available for those who wish to order them. There is a choice of two brick colors and three type fonts. Graphics are offered in several categories (nature, religious, and military/US government - including insignias for the different branches of service). We will be taking orders in the fellowship hall after all services Memorial Day weekend, May 27 and 28. Or you may place an order online and see the different graphics HERE.
