As a Community Care Co-ordinators this is our focus:
Bringing Joy to those who cannot come to worship or participate in activities at church.
Share with God’s people who are in need…” Roman 12:13
From Sheryl - My husband Dwight and I are lifelong Lutherans and joined Joy in May of 2018. Our three daughters and their families all live in the Denver area we are happily involved with our six grandchildren.
During my 40 year career I worked as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner and Faith Community Nurse. In February of 2017 I retired from my position at Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver where I was the Faith Community Nurse for 11 years. While at Augustana I was part of the pastoral care team and also organized and led the lay visitation ministry. This is something I have truly missed in retirement and am grateful to have this opportunity again at Joy.
From Lois - I have been a member of Joy for 27 years. I was born a Lutheran and have been involved in the church most of my adult life. I have been a SS teacher, VBS volunteer, Wed. night meal volunteer, Council President, and continue to be in the Bell Choir.
It is an honor to to share the love of Christ with those who are shut ins, dealing with a health crisis, coping with the loss of a loved one, or celebrating the birth of a child.
