Purpose is to welcome visitors and ALL to Joy Lutheran Church

Vistior Assistance

  • Be welcoming and smile!
  • Greet people as they walk by and if you don’t know someone a good way to make them feel welcome is to say “Hey! I don't think we have ever met. My name is _____.”  This is a good way to break the ice and meet someone new.
  • Please wear a Welcome button (located in cabinet) and your name tag.
  • Answer immediate questions and keep an eye out for visitors and new folks.
  • Standing is preferred as it is more welcoming, but you are welcome to have a chair brought over to the area if you would prefer not to stand the whole time.
  • Hand out Visitor Bags to adults and children (located in cabinet).
  • Ask visitors if they filled out a Welcome card yet. If not, please have them fill it out and turn it into the office after your shift.
