It is time again for the Mayor's Holiday Lighting Celebration at O’Brien Park, on Friday, November 25th. Every year JOY staffs the event with volunteers and in turn the town gives us a booth worth $1500 and tons of free publicity.

We need your help! We are looking for 20-35 people to staff ice sculptures and punch cards for the community from 4:30-7:30p. It could not be easier. This is a great family event so feel free to bring your kids. If you have any questions feel free to contact Dan Turner. Please sign up HERE.

This will be the most fun you have had volunteering ever. Don’t believe me? Here is what past volunteers are saying:

-Being a part of “4th in the Park” celebration was a very good experience. My wife and I were each in charge of a game. We gave away lots of prizes and had a good time. It was a good way to get Joy Lutheran Church known to the community. I believe everyone who came enjoyed themselves. Except for a gust of wind, we saw no problems. Departing the event was well planned. We spent no time in line. It was great to be part of the “4th in the Park” celebration.

- Fourth of July was a blast! I was a volunteer at the City of Parker’s celebration with carnival games. So many happy kids and their families and so many good people running the games with me! I was also a volunteer with Joy Lutheran at the Mayor’s Christmas Lighting, joining in with many neighbors and friends to start the season. This may well become an annual event for me!
