Hope in Advent

Advent is a time of preparing, expecting, and anticipating.

This week’s gospel lesson, Mark 13, tells us that it’s also a time of being ready and staying awake. Jesus said, “And what I say to you I say to all: Keep awake.” (Mark 13:37)  We are encouraged to stay awake and set our hope in God’s amazing promises.
