I have been attending Joy coincidentally since the same day Pastor Rod started. My wife and I were visiting churches and happened to try Joy on Rod’s first Sunday. We were not married at the time and were working on blending a family. Rod had blended a family and was extremely instrumental in the process of our marriage, and ultimately married us. It was clear from day one that God had brought us to Joy. I have lived in Parker since 2001. I own a real estate company in Parker. I am involved in several committees, primarily the Evangelism/marketing committee. I also assist with the building and grounds committee. I am the liaison between Parker and the church, and I organize the three events we do with Parker every year the Stars and Stripes 4th of July celebration, the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting, and the Carriage Parade. If you have seen a corny video, or someone dressed funny for an announcement that is probably my doing. (Sorry, not sorry!) In a day and age where the church as a whole is losing believers daily, we are bucking the trend and growing. I have a passion for that growth and the uniting of God’s family, no matter what denomination. I am humbled by the nomination to Council. If I am voted in, I will work hard to continue God’s work, through us at Joy. Thanks.
